Apart from having more resources, a reason why you may get your own hosting server and use it instead of a shared web hosting plan is that you are able to install and run a wide selection of software. With a shared account, you could use applications, that do not require root access and aren't installed server-side, so in case you require particular software for your websites, you cannot set it up on a shared web server. This is not the situation with a server of your own where you'll be able to install whatever you wish. The downside is that you may not have much experience and dealing with your own hosting server is more challenging that managing a shared Internet hosting account where the provider handles the majority of things. Installation and Troubleshooting in VPS Servers
The upgrade comes with an hour of custom work on your hosting server, so if you get any one of our VPS servers
packages, you can take advantage of this service and have our admins carry out various tasks which you cannot do yourself or you have no time. They can install and set up any piece of third-party software for you if the installation is complex or they can troubleshoot any application that doesn't function properly for some reason. You may add the upgrade to your package as frequently as you need depending on the time needed for a particular task and its complexity. Any remaining time will remain available in your account for the future and you shall be able to see how many minutes are left in your billing Control Panel. Our Managed Services upgrade provides half an hour of custom work on your hosting server also, but in case you need more than that, you may always add the Installation & Troubleshooting upgrade with a couple of mouse clicks from the billing area.
Installation and Troubleshooting in Dedicated Servers
The upgrade is available with all our Linux dedicated web hosting plans
and if you add it, our experienced admins can assist you with anything on your machine. Such as setting up any third-party software that you may want to use on the machine and troubleshooting any script that operates badly or does not run at all. Our upgrade provides an hour of work and if a particular task is not very time-consuming, we shall add the remaining time to your account. You will be able to discover how many minutes are left within your billing CP and use them when you need support again. The Installation & Troubleshooting upgrade can be ordered at any moment, so if you need something to be installed in the very beginning, you'll be able to add it to your order during the sign up process, while if you need support afterwards, you'll be able to add it from the server billing area. Thirty minutes of custom work are provided with our Managed Services pack as well, but if you need more work to be performed on the server, the Installation & Troubleshooting upgrade shall be a guarantee that your applications shall be installed and set up in the best possible way.
