A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you run some business, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited email messages, you can combine the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software so as to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox with ease if you have a shared hosting
plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is full-featured, yet unbelievably simple to work with, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you will see a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking on it twice will deactivate it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you already have another mailbox with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
A catch-all email address can be created with a couple of clicks if you have a Linux semi-dedicated server
with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be managed through our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create mailboxes using any domain name hosted here. To enable the catch-all functionality for a particular mailbox, you will have to click on the logo with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Deactivating the feature can be accomplished in the very same way and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been activated for a given domain name, you will receive a warning text message. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never replace or deactivate any feature automatically.
